OK, here goes, I tried to start my super major 5000,, I bel;ieve its a 63 - 64,,it has a simms injector pump on her,,It wouldnt start so I checked fuel,, I bled the filter,,,,have fuel to the front of the pump [fuel line into the pump],,,
I was getting very little out the injectors on the engine, so I cracked the lines and removed on the pump,, just a small squirt,,out of 3 of them,, number 1 nothing,, I removed the small cover on the side that shows the plungers[?] and saw that # 1 wasnt moving,, [ there also wasnt any fuel in that resevoir,,] [it looks like there is supposed to be??]
I got that freed up and put it back together,, still nothing,,there are 2 bleeder valves "? on the block below where the injector lines connect to, I disconnected them and got full pressure fuel out of them,,
but still not pressure to the lines,,,, any ideas, short of taking the pump to r ebuild,,,,,thanks pat |
