Blows Black smoke and loses power

When using tractor heavy it will start blowing black smoke and lose power. This will last only about 5 minutes and then run ok for a while. Sometimes it will happen two or three times in the course of mowing,plowing,etc.

Take your air filter apart and clean it. take the unit right off of the tractor and wash it out with some Mineral Spirits, or laquer thinner. you will not belive the gunk that comes out, or how much better the tractor will run afterwards. I'm not talking just the cup on the bottom. It is the whole unit that needs to be cleaned. If that does not work then, it is most likely the diapham in the injection pump. Dandy Dave!
