Could someone tell me the aproximate horsepower of my Dextra diesel.

Your Dexta, (no r is the name, a common mistake) is shown in my literature as 31.4 PTO Horsepower.
These were manufactured with 144 Cu. In. Diesel Perkins between 1958 and 1964.

Thanks for the prompt answer and indeed you are
also right about spelling of the tractor series.
I guess lots of us have been calling them dextra
for so long it's become common.

Fordson Dexta and Super Dexta used only FORD Engines NEVER Perkin engines!( F3.144 and F3.153)

Hmm, Fordson did the rough casting of Perkins designed engine, shipped them to Perkins to build and then Perkins returned them to Fordson for fitting into the Dexta... Not sure if this makes it a Fordson engine! It was the first JIT system though!
