fordson dexta gearbox

i have got two fordson dextas,one im restoring and one for parts.i want to exchange the gear box from one to the other and im wondering would someone know if the bolts around the the gearbox front and rear are loosened will it come apart from engine and rear end entacted,or does the engine have to be out first.

You can not seperate the gear box from the clutch housing. If you would do it, you have to remove the center plate inside the clutch housing and remove the clip ring holding the PTO-shaft. The gear box and the rear end can be seperate by loosen the bolts.
