What type of oil should I use for my 53 ford jubilee on the engine side of things

I use 10w-30. If the engine is tired I see some guys are using 10w-40.

Something diesel rated, as modern gas
rated engine oils don't have the zinc
needed to protect flat tappets. I run
15w40 in all my tractors, from a Jubilee
to a TW35.

Take comfort in knowing anything on the shelf today is better than what was available when tractor was new. Everything I own from lawn mowers to trucks have 15w-40 in them.

Mobil Delvac 15W-40 is great oil and right now they have a $6 rebate per gallon which makes it even better.
