I am working on an 860.
I am getting ready to replace the valve train gasket. I was sent a gasket that was solid. Meaning not cut out to 1/2" wide all around.I see these solid gaskets in stieners catalogue. I see the normal looking 1/2" wide style as well.
I am curious if anyone has any comments good or bad about either type of gasket.
It seems to me the solid one would stay in place better maybe but I am not sure the cover will press it in tight enough against the block to form a good seal.
I plan on using Form A Gasket #2
