860 valve push rod cover gasket

I am working on an 860.

I am getting ready to replace the valve train gasket. I was sent a gasket that was solid. Meaning not cut out to 1/2" wide all around.I see these solid gaskets in stieners catalogue. I see the normal looking 1/2" wide style as well.

I am curious if anyone has any comments good or bad about either type of gasket.

It seems to me the solid one would stay in place better maybe but I am not sure the cover will press it in tight enough against the block to form a good seal.

I plan on using Form A Gasket #2

Any comments??????

It will seal, it also fits oneway because holes are offset. Should have rectangular hole for oil drain back.

I have never seen one that was 1/2 inch all the way around. They have all had a hole towards one end that was about 2.5x 3 inches. The hole was 1/2 inch from one edge. I placed it so the narrow space was down.
