part no 9N 7225 is a small plate to hold in shift fork rails it is easy to get to if the 3 point hitch top cover is off one salvage yard said they would not dismantle a tractor for a 2 dollar part. if you have a salvage 9N, I would like to buy this plate. Thanks

Where you located? I have a parts 2n in W. TN that I will let go cheap, you would then have a ready parts supply.

I'm not sure if I have one or not, but I found one for [b:bbe88c7b19]$2[/b:bbe88c7b19] doing a search.

The part you need is 9N-7225; plate, as you stated but know that it was used on ALL 9N and 2N models with the 3-Speed Transmission. It can be found on any model year 1939-1947 9N/2N. The 8N Model was released in July, 1947 and now had a 4-Speed Transmission, the plate completely redesigned, and now was p/n 8N-7225 so be sure you get the correct part. It looks like a few options exist from other members. Just curious, why does the plate need replacing?
