1970 Ford 2000 Hydraulic Pump

I recently bought my first tractor. It is a 1970 Ford 2000 3 cylinder gas. It had a small oil leak at the hydraulic pump on the side of the block when I bought it but it has gotten worse. I replaced the gasket between the block and drive housing however this did not fix the oil leak. It appears the oil leak is from a bad seal that is exposed on the side of the housing between the two mounting bolts on the left. It does not look like there is a plug unless it fell out. I was thinking the internal seal for the driven gear was bad and needs replaced.

I was going to buy a rebuild kit for hydraulic pump but I was not sure if I was getting in over my head. Has anyone ever rebuilt this part. Just looking for tips and suggestions.

There is a cross pin to keep the shaft in place. The small hole in the second picture. Drive it out. The hole in the end of the shaft it tapped for a screw to pull it out. An O-ring seals it only on that end.

Thanks that sounds easier than what I was thinking. What do you use to drive the cross pin out? Can the cross pin be removed without unbolting the housing from the block?

(quoted from post at 18:14:05 09/24/18) Can't do it on the tractor. Use a small drift punch. Looked like you already had the pump off.

I am gonna buy a seal kit and give it a try this week. Thanks for the help.
