I recently bought my first tractor. It is a 1970 Ford 2000 3 cylinder gas. It had a small oil leak at the hydraulic pump on the side of the block when I bought it but it has gotten worse. I replaced the gasket between the block and drive housing however this did not fix the oil leak. It appears the oil leak is from a bad seal that is exposed on the side of the housing between the two mounting bolts on the left. It does not look like there is a plug unless it fell out. I was thinking the internal seal for the driven gear was bad and needs replaced.
I was going to buy a rebuild kit for hydraulic pump but I was not sure if I was getting in over my head. Has anyone ever rebuilt this part. Just looking for tips and suggestions.
