NOT MINE so know nothing about them, but saw this & am passing it along:

Looks to be a 30 Lb./segment set, which will fully adjust on PA rims.

It the disc was indexed properly, adjustment could be made by removing only 4 segments, rather than 8.

Ford 2000, 3 cyl. diesel, 8/2 trans.....Just curious....I don't have any experience with wheel weights and am wondering if they make a lot of racket when the tractor is in motion. Looks like there is only the one bolt holding each weight in place so it seems logical that, if there is any loose play in the bolts, the weights would whang around and make music.

Never heard anything from any of my sets of pie weights.

Of course, I do keep the mounting bolts tight.

Dean.

Good Evening,

I have a 1963 Ford 4000 4 cylinder diesel with Power Adjust rims. I'd like to add pie weights to the rear wheels but my PA disks don't have any holes in them to accommodate the mounting bolts for the weights. Is there something I'm missing here?

Thanks,

Tom in TN

Ford pie weights do not mount directly to the wheel centers, but rather, to a mounting disc, sometimes called a star wheel, that is bolted to the wheel center by 8 adapters. You must have weights, mounting discs and adapters to mount pie weights.

Thanks Greg / Thanks Dean,

That explains it very well.

How about one more question? The eight studs that hold the wheel on are not long enough to accommodate another disk. Do the studs have to be changed to accommodate the star wheel?

The star plate was attached with a fastener having both mounting studs and lugnuts.

Here's a photo of the mounting plate. Bill has photo of adapter lug nut to mount plate.
