x01 power steering pump orifice

This aluminum orifice is in the high pressure outlet of one of
my pumps but not in the other one. They are the same pumps.
What is it's purpose?

It appears to be a restrictor plug used to control pump output for Row Crop power assisted steering which has only one cylinder vice two used on ag models.

I looked up the pumps for a 4000 and a 4110TR and it shows that part in both pumps. It may have rolled off the table when PO was working on it before.

Thanks Bill, I bought that pump used so it's possible that it was
off a row crop tractor. It works fine, I was just curious and didn't
see anything about it in the book.
