On one of the Ford tractor pages on Facebook, I've
seen someone claim that a Ford engine with a 4.2"
bore (3000 diesel, in this case) can be bored out to
4.4" when being rebuilt. While I haven't heard of
nearly as many 3000 getting holes in the cylinder
walls as models with bigger engines, I really don't
see how it would be possible to bore a block 200
thousandths without hitting a wster jacket. Any of
you ever hear this claim?
