Ford 3000 transmission problems

Hi everyone,
I own a ford 3000 which encountered a transmission problem the other day. I was driving it in low first gear when I head a clean metallic break sound and lost all traction in the rear wheels. PTO still turns and the transmission shift levers still engage but no power transmission to the rear wheels. Also, there no metallic grinding noises. Wondering if anyone have encountered or know anything about this problem.

"Low first gear" meaning it is a twin stick
transmission?
Does it have live pto or transmission pto?
If live pto it could be the drive clutch
that failed.
I would pull the left step plate off and
the round cover behind it and look inside
with a flashlight. There's a coupler that
connects the transmission output shaft to
the pinion shaft. See if that is intact.
If it is okay it is likely you sheared the
rivits off the pinion gear on the
differential.

Thank you so much for answering. It is a twin stick transmission. Not sure about the PTO but I believe it is transmission PTO. there is a lever that engages the PTO with only one movement.

Live or tranny has that single stick 1 position movement. The way to tell the difference is that Live stays "alive" while the ground speed is
"dead"......clutching half way kills the ground speed but keeps the PTO running....gotta clutch all the way down to kill both. Tranny PTO both die together, or
are "alive" together. Whopping big difference in convenience.
