Ford 901 vs early 4000

Help me out please. What is the difference between these two other than the sheet metal? The Ford tractor book I have says that is the only difference.

Red vs. Blue paint. All 4000 5 speeds were live PTO double clutch models. 901 was still available as a 951 transmission PTO model. That's all I know about.

Depending on which year 01, the carbs went through several size increases. TSX-706 (early) TSX-662/TSX-769 (mid) and TSX-813 were used in the later iterations of the X01 and three years for the prior model thousand series.

Ford 9*1 and four cylinder 4000 row crop tractors are identical aside from paint, sheet metal, and serial numbers.

The 901 S-O-S trans were originally the ORC model, but most have been replaced with the later DDC model that was standard on the '62-'64 4000.
