Ford 4610 hydraulic problem :/

I guess I have bought a Monday model :D

Problems just keep popping up on my 4610 4wd now that I start using it.

Yesterday I drow around for around one hour, after that it was time to mount the shovel on the front loader. But the front loader could hardly move :/

A little depressed I sad the 4610 aside. This morning I tried to start it up cold, and now the frontloader works as new?!

Is it a sign of a weak pump? And is a rebuild kit ok?

The tranny just got new oil and filter. The oil is Ford M2C134D specs, so that should be the right one.

Could be the pump loses power as it warms up, but it sounds more like debris in the system that was blocking the flow yesterday and is not today. Have you changed the fluid lately? If so, what did the old fluid look like? If it was dirty you might consider changing it again now that it's had some new fluid in it for a while to flush things out.

Ok, it's not the pump. I used it for an hour again today, everything worked. But then I shifted position on the selector lever and the symptoms came back. When I turn it from the external output, and then back, then there is sometimes NO lifting on the front loader and sometimes extreme little :/

Could it be the o-rings in the selector valve assembly?

So the selector valve powers the loader control valve? If the positioning of the selector valve causes change in flow then the selector valve probably needs to be rebuilt. The o-rings inside are probably partially deteriorated and are blocking the port in some cases, or there is debris inside that sometimes blocks the flow and sometimes does not.

That was my guess too. I'll order some new o-rings and seals, it's an easy job to do :)
