Ok, so the story is that my 4610 was leaking a lot of oil from the front axle, so I took it apart and found 3 chipped teeth on the pinion gear. So I bought a complete front differential used at a dealer. The differential can only go one way into the front axle, so the operation went well I thought.
So today I was driving up a slope, the rear wheels started to spin, so I clutched out, and engaged the 4wd. But when I clutched back in, the front axle started to back up, while the rear axle was going forward!
The used differential must have been on another model, but the same axle AE1-159. So now is the question.
Can I take out the front differential and move the Bevel gear to the other side of the pinion gear, and then the differential will go in the right direction? Or is there another way?
