3600 clutch finger jamb nuts

Split the 3600, found 2 of the 3 clutch finger jamb nuts off and in the bottom of the bell housing. Thinking of using lock nuts when I go back in. Anything wrong with that?

In theory, a locknut should work just fine. However, most locknuts will be too thick to work on your pressure plate fingers - of course it
would depend on where the adjustment ends up. I've never seen jamb nuts come loose on a pressure plate, some I'm gonna wager that whoever put
it together last time simply did not tighten them correctly. Loctite would also help if you were concerned about re-using the jamb nuts.
