Yes, and rail width is going to be an issue as well.

The narrower rail can be handled with new front and rear covers. It will require an 11" clutch rather than the 14" but those too are available in double and triple disk. The TA will get pitched and the 2 top gears will be modified for durability. I'm buying a gasser reasonably priced, and making a toy tractor for tractor rides and maybe a county fair pull, but nothing serious. I'm thinking about 400 HP would be fun.

Well if you know all that you should also know the bore centers on a 400 series engine are greater than the original.
