I want to sell a 1982 Ford 1700. Need an idea of the asking price. Would call it very good condition. 4WD, tires in good shape, two cylinder diesel, has a 700 front loader installed. Second owner.
Thank you

Added thought; Would there be a website to get prices on tractors; like Kelly Blue Book.
Thanks, Lib

There's no real "Kelly Blue Book" for used tractors that I am aware of. Prices seem to vary by region. You can check your local Craigslist to see what similar tractors are being listed for, but keep in mind that those are asking prices and bot all will sell for the asking price. You can also check out on-line auction houses and listing sites like external_link.com, and even look in the classified section here on Yesterday's Tractors.

About a year ago I bought a '86 Ford 1710.
3 cylinder diesel, 4wd, pwr strg, 3 spd 4
range gearbox with 770B loader.
I paid $8000. I am happy, seller was
happy, must have been a good price.

I sold my 8N, but I still have a few parts
hanging around so I'll keep my YT name as-
is for now.

Probably the biggest advertising site is tractor house. However, a very common observation is that the prices there are very optimistic, and are asking prices not sold prices. I suggest taking a number of prices there and using a multiplier of .75.

Just looking back, I have bought and sold.... 103 tractors since I retired the second time, starting in 2005 to today. I have 3 tractors in the shop needing minor repairs and clean up. At least it keeps me off the streets. I had sold more tractors before that over the years, but I did not keep a longterm spread sheet on them.
