800 Flush Hydraulic Pump With Cover Off???

Morning,

I am about to put my lift cover back on the 800 and I am cleaning out the center section sump. Really surprised how much muck is in there. On the 800 that is a separate sump correct? Not shared between the diff and trans?

The real question is...I was wondering if there is a way to flush new fluid through the pump after the sump is clean but NOT have the old fluid return to the sump? Just divert the return fluid to a bucket or something until it runs clean?

Thanks,
Larry W.

emove test port plug at lower right corner (side) of center housing and place catch container under it and block top of pressure tube.
