I just picked up a Ford 3000 with a select o speed. Low gears (1-4) and both reverse gears feel like they are binding (to the point of killing the motor if you let it) If I place the tractor in gear 5 before trying to use one of these other gears this binding seems to stop. If switching back and forth from a low forward gear to reverse the binding comes back in reverse only.
Haven?t adjusted bands yet, but will probably be the first start this weekend.
