TW 10 Power Steering pump

Our TW 10 is losing PS oil and the engine seems to be gaining oil. I suspect there is an oil seal at the front end of the pump which is failing. Son just checked the price of a rebuilt pump through FNH and finds the price to be over $800. We have sufficient PS oil pressure to give normal and adequate steering response, so I don't think we need to go for the rebuilt pump. If you have any experience with the front seal, please share it with us. The tractor is a 1979 vintage and the pump has the self contained reservoir and donut shaped filter inside the reservoir can.

Thanks for your help.

You need to replace the two seals, #6, in the link below. These seals come in the complete seal kit. I would suggest replacing all of the seals while you're in there, as it just might steer even better after you're done.
