1970 2000,gas,6spd,trans pto, no power steering. Tires are very good. Hours show 280 and they are NOT correct hours. From my understanding it was kept inside all it's life. It is just about as clean as one I have seen. It appears to be all original. Mower goes with it but I am looking for just the value of the tractor. Does not have original size battery. So what's the old girl worth?

Location will impact price...
Around here, I'd say either side of $3500, maybe a bit more, being so nice of an original.

I would check the compression on it before I threw big money at it...

A bud of mine brought one like in your pix it was a little hard to start cold and you better get what you needed done if you shut it off you would play ell to get it restarted, Compression numbers were just under 90. Its 48 years old and may be due for a fat wallet to bless it...

If the engine is sound $4000 tops....

Nice looking tractor tho BUT no power steering I pass if big money is involved...

Good point Hobo. What should the
compression numbers be? I have time
to really check it out good. I know
what the seller wants and I believe
it is too high. I just want it
because it is so nice. I need it
like a hole in my head. I promised
myself I would not buy another one
unless it is diesel, ps and live
PTO. But I have an addiction
problem. Lol

I sell several of those a year down here for $4500 with a old shredder on them. Some even $5000. If you can pay $4999 for a lawnmower at tractor supply, surely a tractor is worth that. This tractor appears to be repainted OR>>>>>> in almost new condition. But I cant tell by the pictures. It it runs as good as it looks should be worth it.

The bad...
Its a gas... SO>>>> very cold natured for 3 to 5 minutes.. .will require used of choke to start it... 6 speed trans is not quite as handy as the 8 speed trans... also has tranny pto vrs live pto. all of which it would still sell easily for 4500....

The good... Its a gas... so better for cold starting in winter for snow removal, in northern climates, no so much down here where we dont have snow. Paint.. may be original, Tires might match, and be factory,, meaning its a cream puff and almost need in wear. Even if low hours, the tires may have been replace due to cracking a rot.

Everything is in the detail.. if its worn out.. or has a problem, walk...

Ford 2000; 3 cyl. Diesel; 1970 model; 8/2 trans.....FYI...Bought this tractor about a month ago. It appears to be a creampuff also and the hour meter shows only about 1750 hours - yes, I know it could have been changed out. No power steering but very clean and seems to be nice and tight. Lights work, instruments work. Paid $3200 for it which included a dirt scoop the previous owner didn't want. I thought that was a good price for a diesel and an 8/2 transmission.
