5600 ford power steering gear box preasure supply

I am looking to find out what fitting I need to get, that is this 1/2 x 16 thread for the power steering gear box, P/N e1nn3n503bc. I bought this power steering gear box from this site, it is installed all except for the pressure line. I am using hydraulic hose to make the connections and cant seem to find the appropriate fitting. any help on this would be aprieciated

1/2-16? Are you sure? You might wish to double check that, because I don't believe that size exists. 1/2-13 and 1/2-20 are the common sizes
in half-inch.

well I do have a lot of hydraulic fittings and none of them fit I am going by the description of the part, but yes ta thread gauge shows 16 p is correct. I am puzzled. The machine work makes it look like an 06 O ring boss, but no it isn't it will thread about a turn and then bind. Thank you for the bit though.

#6 o-ring boss is a VERY common thread size in the hydraulic world, and is most likely what you're dealing with. The actual dimensions are
9/16-18. I'd get your thread pitch gauge out one more time and lay an 18 gauge on those threads. As I said before, 1/2-16 is unheard of.

Just a guess but is it a pipe thread that you screw a adapter fitting into?
