Ford 950 Electronic Ignition Conversion Issues

1st time post here, but have learned a great deal about getting a 1956 950 I have inherited running again.

After converting to electronic ignition, tractor would run great for approx. 1 hour then start running rough, eventually die and not re-start until after it cooled down. After the third time of this it would not start at all.

Would friction from rubbing on dust cover create enough heat to cause tractor to run like this and eventually ruin ignition module?

If you can cut a hole in the dust cover to clear the magnetic sleeve. Make sure your coil has 3 ohms resistance. Also make sure you are using carbon core spark plug wires.

Have 3 ohm coil with csrbon core wires.
Hole in dust cover and new ignition module and magnetic sleeve is next option
