Ford 950 Electronic Ignition Conversion Issues

1st time post here, but have learned a great deal about getting a 1956 950 I have inherited running again.

After converting to electronic ignition, tractor would run great for approx. 1 hour then start running rough, eventually die and not re-start until after it cooled down. After the third time of this it would not start at all.

Would friction from rubbing on dust cover create enough heat to cause tractor to run like this and eventually ruin ignition module?

I have converted a 960. If you have problems with it rubbing the you either have the wrong kit or you have not seated the trigger fully on the shaft. To get it seated you may have turn it slightly while pressing down. It should not rub on the dust cover.
