I would guess it's a regular 9N with orchard fenders made by some other company.
Unusual might be a better description.

Looks like a 2N with orchard fenders. Those were another part never a Ford made nor dealer supplied OEM factory item. they were only as an aftermarket supplied item, and not that rare. I see these at least on one tractor at every show. I'll be impressed later. Much later...

The orchard fender owners manual says to park underneath a tree, climb the tree and drop yourself in the seat... ; > ) GRIN. Yet another example of a seller not knowing what they have. FORD never made an "Orchard Tractor" as you well know like a "Tractor Stilts" model, and many other aftermarket items. They were all strictly made and supplied by aftermarket companies jumping on the Ford bandwagon success. Calling them 'rare' and as such only attracts the uneducated buyers. Rare, in my opinion, only means an early original 9N or 8N, or a Moto-Tug. There aren't any really more 'rare' Ford tractors that qualify. I mean production models, not like a Typhoon or annex model.

FORD never made an "Orchard Tractor"

Not on those early models, but they did make orchard specific models and vineyard specific models, and a few others in the x600 and xx10 series tractors. Search the New Holland parts site for the model 4610 and you'll get a number of variants listed, and they all had different model designators (first 3 characters) in their model numbers:

DX3 - (4610NO) - 3 CYL NARROW ORCHARD TRACTOR (1/81-2/90)
DA3 - (4610) - 3 CYL AG TRACTOR ALL PURPOSE (1/81-2/90)
DY3 - (4610O) - 3 CYL ORCHARD TRACTOR (1/81-2/90)
DN3 - (4610N) - 3 CYL AG NARROW TRACTOR (1/81-2/90)
DV3 - (4610V) - 3 CYL VINEYARD TRACTOR (1/81-2/90)

Ford did make an Orchard Tractor, 1963-1964. Look in your parts book.May be one at ford/fordson show next mo.

(quoted from post at 01:14:16 07/26/18) Yeabbut...
How do you get on and off the darned thing.
Over the back like you do with those jungle gym loaders?
Uh uh. Not for me.

Run and jump and handspring over the hood with a half twist.

It isn't factory, but is unusual. It may be aftermarket parts but still "rare" as in not seen much. It appears to be original/unmolested tractor and would probably be a good candidate for an eye catching restoration. If it was an orchard tractor its whole life it likely hasn't been beaten and used/pulled hard.
