Aftermarket Gauge Cluster Problems

Been restoring my Ford 4000SU for the past 3 years. As I have time to work on it. Anyway, the aftermarket Gauge cluster is giving me problems. I replaced the wiring harness and grounded the system at the voltage regulator bracket.
The tack is reading fast. At idle it is showing around 1100-1200 rpm. At fast idle it pegs it pointing straight up. The fuel gauge moves when I turn on the key but does not go up at fuel is added to tank. Coolant temp gauge did not move at all with new sensor. Got another sensor and now it is reading hot. Engine is only running 190 at upper hose.
Are all these Gauge clusters junk? Oh, the fuel level sender is new also.
Thinking about adding another ground from gauge to sender. Possibly a larger generator pulley?
Thanks for input.

JTWAT,
Been a couple of days with no answer.
I am not sure I have any answer either.
I will soon have to replace my gauge cluster and was looking for information.
Maybe my inquiry will help me and you too. Maybe others??

Where did you get your replacement cluster? Are they helpful in answering your question or tech support?
Where did you get the sending units from? Same vender?

I can only speak to the temp sender. I replaced my gauge cluster on my 4000 SU a couple winters ago and had to order a couple temp sensors to get the correct one. I can't remember where I got it from maybe Amizon. Search my name I only have a few post.

I did switch to the c-clockwise cluster as I am running an alternator so not sure if that will be different for you or not.
