I recently purchased a Ford 4600, a few things were in need of attention.
One of those was the fuel cap. It leaked if the tank was anywhere close to full.
So I visited my local CNH dealer. They sold me a TISCO Cap. E7NN9030AA $5.58
I put it on, filled the tank, no leak. YEA! RIGHT!
Turns out WRONG! Not so fast. Ran tractor for a few hours and had to almost pry the cap off.
When it did release the tank went TONK!, it had been sucked in, lucky for me not hurt.
So I asked the dealer is this right. No cap is to be vented, I'll give you a new one. Checked it first, SAME thing. Bad batch of caps.
I checked caps at Rural King, TSC, another CNH dealer. All the same. Finally checked a dealer out of my area, they had a
CNH cap that is vented. 83961128 $35.81 BUT it works!
I hope this helps someone else.
