I got my 71 Ford 4500 industrial running, during the rebuild I switched over from the generator to a one wire alternator with the cable tach drive which turns clockwise. I don't like the original Ford instrument cluster they used as has anyone found a regular round tach like what the Farmtrac, or whatever they call it that will work using the existing cable. I had a old tach from a MF gas tractor that was clockwise, it reads twice as fast, but the Ford cable end screwed right on. I'm also looking for a fuel level, and coolant temp gauge that works with the original senders, anyone know of any gauges that will work with the original senders, or do I need to adapt/get different sending units. Thanks

You can add your own gauges that will work with your senders, finding the correct calibration tack could be a issue.
There used to be a number of the Farm Trac clusters floating around but not finding any now.

I did a few of the tach drive alternator conversions, they all made to tachs read from 300-600 rpm to fast.
On the later blocks I'm changing them over to the oil pump drive tach, drive adapter won't fit on early blocks with the screw in plug

The block on mine is just different enough so I can't use the oil pump drive tach which is what I really wanted. I figure I'll find fuel, and water gauges as a set with senders, but the tach is my main issue. To me the "new" replacement tachometer/gauge cluster for these don't seem to be very good, plus I like to see numbers for things like oil pressure, coolant temp, etc.
