Ford 861 rear crank seal / pto seal

Hello out there.
I have a 861 with a significant oil leak from between the transmission and engine, looks to be an rear main seal. Engine oil.
So
Just checking on experience others have had with options, and what is recommended. I have read about different seals and installation ideas.
Please I would like to hear your experiences and recommendations.
Also has leak around pto. Not as big a deal, but if you have done these before I’d like to hear from you.

I'm on my phone right now, so I'll address the easy one, the pto.

The seal is about 14$

Drain the oil from the center/hydraulics section. Drain the oil from the diffy.

Remove the 4 bolts around the pto bearing carrier.

If you have been living right, you can snatch the pto bearing carrier and shaft right out. sometimes the old gasket sticks and
you have to tap on the bearing carrier ear to spin it before it will come out. if you need to tug on it, just stick a
screwdriver thru the pto shaft and give a tug on it. usually they come right out.

Then you have a split ring to pop out, sometimes you have to chase those with two small screwdrivers. once the top ring is
off, tap the pto stub on a block of wood, and the bearing carrier should drop off and leave the bearing on the shaft.

you can then drive the old seal out, clean the carrier and reseat a new seal.

If the bearing is good, and the wear ring is good ( don't assume, check it.. sometimes the wear ring needs replacing due to
seal lip wear ) then you can grease the seal lip, bearing, etc., set it on the pto stub, then tap the shaft on your wood and
let the bearing carrier slip down over the bearing, and then you can pop the ring back in, clean up the gasket surfaces, and
stab her back in.

note.. there is a seal you are stabbing thru in the center section.. so use a little care.. it is what keeps the rear end oil
and the hyd oil separate.
