TS 100 lift housing removal

It should be doable. When they took the lift housing out of my 8240 they lifted the back of the cab I think five inches, with it pivoting on the front mounts. Then they chained it up tight to a lift and lifted it up and out.

Agree. Should be the same as a Powerstar. If you build the right lift fixture, the housing only has to come up about 4? for the cylinder to clear
the rear axle center section.

It should just lift out. A couple 2x4's on edge under the rockshaft will suffice if nothing else.

Thanks for the responses. I had more or less planned to unbolt and lift the rear of the cab assuming that the added room would make getting the lift housing out and back in at least a LITTLE bit easier. I just wondered if it was absolutely necessary. I'm also guessing the added space will come in handy since we're really after the PTO clutch.

If you're after the PTO clutch and nothing else... just do a rear split. That's assuming this is a 12 speed transmission or it's derivatives.
