You mentioned the other day I shouldn't use
the number 4450 on my tractor because John
Deere was already using that number.
I thought JD had made a 4200 so I looked it
up on tractordata.
Sure enough. Built from 1998 to 2001 - long
after Ford built their 4200.
JD also built a 3400, 3550, 4000, 4100,
4110, 4400, 4500, 4600, 4610, 4630, 5200 and
maybe other 'Ford' numbers - all of them
long after Ford used the model #.
So I'm thinking it's okay to appropriate one
of THEIR numbers
