What would cause the 3 pt lift to drop an inch or two and jump back up. Would it be hard to fix. thanks

If this is happening while holding a load up, it's called bobbing or hiccups. According to the I&T FO-19 manual, it can be caused by a leak in the lift cylinder circuit. It says to bring the oil up to operating temperature, remove the hydraulic oil filler cap, raise an implement and check for leakage around piston at rear of lift cylinder. It gets rather wordy from there, telling what to do if there is a leak and what else to check for if no leak. I would suggest you get that manual. You will find it money will spent. They should be available on this site.
