4000 pressure plate

Ordered a new pressure plate for Luke's 4000 today. Our "local" NH dealer was an IH and New Holland dealer, so Fords are (still) somewhat out of their line of expertise. We ended up ordering a #81815765R (reman). While Craig makes an effort, and is learning some about Fords, the parts diagram doesn't really show what a PP for an independent pto 8-speed 4000 looks like, specifically the pto drive hub. And having that many models/options per page doesn't help. Anyone know if that is the right part number? I'd prefer not to make two or three trips to get it right, at an hour each way.

I did not see a pic in the parts book. The PP looks like the pic in the post the other day from Ultradog (click on link below). It has a riveted drive hub in the center of the plate.

This is a photo of C5NN7563U which is replaced by 81815765.
81815765R is the reman version of 81815765
That is the correct plate for a 4000 with a 11" clutch

Don't get your hopes up till you have your parts and they bolt up.
Ford was the Worst about using different clutches, different spline counts, flywheels with different thicknesses and different bolt patterns for the PP (6 bolts vs 8) with the SAME part number stamped into them.
Note my pp is 6 bolt and yours looks like 8 in the thread the other day.
I hope it works for you but am a bit cynical about Ford - especially 4000 clutches.

'65 up clutches are a pain, so years ago I made myself a cheat sheet for working out which was the correct clutch. Hope it helps somebody in the future as it sounds like you've got yours figured out. Right click on the picture and choose save the you can print it off as needed.

Thank you! I'll show this to the parts guys at my dealer. Craig said he's only ordered two clutches for 3-cylinder Fords in the 11 years he's been there... one for my 4600, and now this one for Luke's 4000.

Lucky for me there's a clutch shop not far from me, I take the old one out and take it with me, if they don't have it on the shelf they'll build it while I wait.
Hour drive there, 30 minute wait or BS session, hour drive back to the house with the correct setup.
Been doing business with them for years.

If you dealer hasn't sold that many you must not be in a heavily Ford area, or your operators are way better than most.

There used to be a lot of Fords around, and a good dealer right in town. But most of the Ford ownrs have retired and sold off their equipment. Fiat pulled the dealer's franchise in '91, IIRC. He stayed open, providing service and parts through another dealer until his health made him close his shop in the late '90's. Those of us who still had Fords mostly went to a local independent shop then. That shop has since closed (owner moved), so now it's drive an hour to the dealer.
