TC45 - Brush grapple - 3rd remote

Been having a number of problems with tractors lately but I thought I'd post a success story. I have a Woods FEL on my TC-45 and figured a brush grapple would be handy for clearing the acres I need to do on my vacant piece in preparation for building barns and a house. First priority is to get an easement cleared for utility poles (680' long about half of that in heavy brush/trees). Need to get that done this month.

I don't have a 3rd remote on the TC45 and found that it was pretty expensive to add a NH kit. Well, I ordered the grapple (Tomahawk) and called Woods about the valves on the Loader. They were not very helpful about a "power beyond" port but I was able to find info on another forum about breaking into the FEL valve lines. I used the Pressure return line off the FEL, teed into the tank return line and got a valve (Chief), hoses, fittings including quick disconnects for around $350. Got everything together over the weekend and it works great. Adding the NH 3rd remote would have been a cleaner installation but a heck of a lot more work. (Have to remove the rear tire from what I've heard). Here are a couple of pix. Operator station is a little more cluttered but nothing interferes with the pedals.
