Lift rocker pin

Any tips on removing the lift rocker pin from the rear axle housing?

Mine is broken off on both sides, maybe from a previous removal attempt, and someone stuck a 3/4 pin through the center of it. This, of course, has worn out the rocker and I want to fix it properly

Looks like a nightmare to get out. Thinking of using my torch to take the temper out and burn off the rust, but don't want to damage the axle housing.

Heat it up pretty good but dont catch the oil inside on fire. Take a candle and stick it to the pin in the hole. The hot wax will wick in there where blaster will just go up in smoke. My factory pin came out after that with just me, a right sized punch, and a baby sledge. Dont forget the gloves.

Divide and conquer. I cut mine in between on both sides with my recap saw. The pieces came out easily.

Mine didn't budge with a hammer and punch, couldn't swing well due to the wheel. I happened to have a square frame made of heavy angle iron that fit in that area. A little 6 ton hydraulic jack, pin to push against, and bushing to hold the frame off the other side and popped it right out.
