My cousin's been looking for a tractor for a while and liked my Fords.
Today I went with him to look at a 4600SU with a Kelly 600 loader, a NH dealer about 50 miles from here had it.
Tractors mechanically sound, starts quick, no noticeable blow by, clutch and brakes are good, no noise in any of the gears, tires are 50% with no dry rot, dual remote valve is a bonus, front tin is a little rough but other wise it'll make a good tractor.
I prefer quick attach loader but this one will be fine for what he'll use it for. $6900 was about right for that model and loader in this area.
While looking around I spy'd a really nice clean early louvered hood 5000 with fresh paint
I have a 67 louvered hood 5000 and a 74 smooth side, wasn't sure how the wife would act if I brought another tractor home but the price was right so I bought it.
She gave me the eye when I told her I'd bought another tractor but after looking at it she was more understanding and ok'd the purchase.
Think I'll leave it in the box for now so it doesn't get dirty.
