Ford 3000 cav injection pump

I have a '65 Ford 3000 diesel. It runs good, but the injection pump leaks, so bad that when I turn off the fuel valve at the tank, it would loose prime on the IP. When I would bleed the injector lines, there is a big difference in the amount of fuel coming out of #1 line vs #2 & #3(almost nothing) but It will start & run ok. I took apart cleaned/resealed the IP, then bench tested with fuel, turning by hand, getting the same results as before (but no leaks).

I did not disassemble the rotor head. Since the same rollers and plungers are used for all ports, the cam also looks normal so I assumed it was ok. Is it possible that rotor head may be partially plugged in the #2 & #3 ports? Is there anything inside the rotor head that would be damaged if I line up ports 2 & 3 and spray carb cleaner through them? Would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks

If it runs OK, you don't have any ports plugged. If the rotor and head bore have wear damage, that shows up as a hard start when hot issue. Were all SIX cam ring lobes OK? Also, if the blades and liner are not in good condition, that will cause the charging flow/pressure to be low that supplies the head and advance box.

Thanks for replying. The blades and liner were very tight, I did not see any signs of wear to the inside of the liner. I did not pull the cam out, as the bolt did not budge, looking from the end of the pump it looked ok, I didn't see signs of excessive wear, I only remember 4 lobes though. How much wear would be too much? It would make sense if 2 of the lobes were worn. The rotor head has 4 outlet ports, one stayed inside the pump housing, I'm guessing since my engine is a 3 cylinder that would be why. ports 2 & 3 might share the same lobes?

FOUR outlets?? Better count again, three cylinder pump hydraulic heads have three outlets, one for each injector and a six lobe cam ring. Four cylinder pumps have four outlets and a four lobe cam. When the cam lobes wear badly, the rotor shoes and rollers will be shot too. When they are worn that bad engine won't even start. If engine runs OK, don't worry how it looks when bleeding out..
