3cyl 2000 injector return lines

Anyone ever replaced the flexible sections of the injector returns? Shouldn't be a big deal to clip the crimped clamps off and put tygon or diesel rated rubber on with some spring clamps. Doesn't look like it anyway. Got a little fuel dampness on top of the motor and the hoses look worn.

Get some Oetiker clamps. Pinch the ears and your return lines will look like new. Here's an example.

Those are the same clamps I used to do the PEX plumbing in the house. I wonder if my crimper will work on ones that small.

(quoted from post at 22:53:02 06/04/18) Wonder what size clamps would work best. Maybe 10.5mm? Needs some clearance to slide onto hose.

The clamp ID is the hose OD. There are single and double ear clamps. The clamp needs to be big enough to slip over the hose with little to no resistance. You pinch the ears on the clamp with a tool that looks like a tile nipper or bull nose pliers. You can make something else work if all you're going to crimp is the return lines. I use these clamps in place of worm drive hose clamps whenever I can so the cost of the pliers was insignificant for me.

Yes, it's the right size. Fits perfect.
I wasn't about to pay $92 + shipping for the OEM fuel line and not even know what length it would be from the New Holland Parts Store online. They really need to provide more details.

Ya, no way I'm paying that much for a few feet of rubber hose. I'll go ahead and order that VW stuff. Thanks for showing it to me, it'll look a bit better than snot green tubes everywhere.

I just went to napa and bought some regular
fuel line - 3/16 I think.
Then went to the hardware store and bought
some of those pinch clamps. Made a nice job
of it.
