Got started scraping, spraying w\oven cleaner, & pressure washing today. I'll be 75 next month & am beginning to think I may not have enough years left to get it all clean enough to paint;<)

Lynn,
Nah,
You've got plenty of time to finish it.
You've done the hard work.
The easy part is squirting the pretty color
on.
My pal Kenny is 82 and just about done with
his 545. See a before photo in my post
below.
He's already looking for the next one.
This photo shows his 545 - closest and my
4450 - behind.
I painted them both the same day.

I wholeheartedly agree with him. The prep is the hard work.
Cleaning, de-greasing, scraping, sanding, wire brushing.
It is also what makes the difference in whether a paint job lasts
or not. That and the correct hardener in the paint of course.

I'm looking forward to pictures of the finished product!

It looks from here like you already have it prepped better than 90% of paint jobs. You may want to remove the fan and gas tank support in order to treat for rust.
