4600 Diesel engine oil.

Has anyone bought engine oil at wallmart for their tractor. If so what brand and weight did you get that meets specs. Its for a 4600 diesel.

Any oil I buy for my diesel at Walmart is going to say Delo or Rotella on the bottle.

+1 for Rotella 15w40 T4 $ (regular), T5 $$ (Synthetic blend) or T6 $$$ (Full synthetic)

I use T4 in the tractor and T6 in my truck.
I think I still have a gallon of Delo that I picked up for the MEP-701A and MEP-802A generators.

So either one will work fine.

+2......... Rot T 15w-40. Pickup your Motorcraft Fl-1A oil filter while you are there. (Ref: I had a 4600 and still have the I&T Serv Manual).

I use Mobil Delvac but Delo and Rotella are good oils too.

Delo 15-40.

All the diesels get it. And the mowers. And sometimes the chainsaw chains. And sometimes the lathe tooling. And sometimes the bandsaw. Might be because there's a 300 gallon tank of it at dad's shop for the fleet trucks.

Good oil though. Hell it carried my 1991 chevy 1/2 ton to 480,000miles. Still running great when I sold it.

4600 Diesel engine oil.
