Disconnecting 755 backhoe from 4500

I saw some posts relative to this topic, but the machine ended up not being a 4500 or a 755. They also had quick disconnects which I do not have. I know I need to loop back some of the lines when I disconnect them, but there are 3 lines... which get connected, and what to do with the other on both the tractor and hoe side? I don't know which lines are high or low pressure or returns...

The two pictures have the 3 connections labeled. One shot is looking towards the hoe, the other looking towards the front of the tractor.

Any help would be much appreciated!

Hook lines 1 and 3 together. Plug line 2. Then can drive tractor forward and around if have enough traction. 550 was flat deck. Looks like 555 in front

This rig has been interesting... it has a front that looks like a 4500, but has fenders that are like a 550. It has shuttle shift. and joy stick controls on the 755 backhoe. Franken-TBL ?

What?s stamped by the starter? Any serial number tag unit numbers?
More pictures? Love the oddballs!

I"ll grab those numbers and post some more pictures this afternoon. It was mentioned that after I loop the two hoses on the tractor, I need to "cap" the other line. Does this need to be a pressure holding "cap", or can I just wrap it and seal with aluminum foil?

Under the floor on the hoe looks to be a place to attach one of the hoses from the hoe... a built-in cap? Do I need to cap or loop any of the lines on the hoe?

Thanks all!

Back when new had cap on plug thats welded to frame to hook hose to and cap line. Yes 1 and 3 have to be looped together.

even a 4500 cab had a slight straddle to the floor and didn't have that seat. Those fenders too??
I hate to say it but they almost look Deereish, Trans code looks like a "P"? and the joysticks on the hoe are not normal, but it seems like back in the day there was a kit to do away with the four lever controls. Loader code is a correct 740, and the hoe code is a correct 755, maybe it was a aftermarket cab setup, or even something built special for a customer

Trans code looks like a "P"?

Nothing in my references for a "P" code transmission. Most likely an "F" which is a 4x4 torque converter auto reversing transmission which was popular on the 4500.

Unit Number 9M08B says it left the assembly line on December 8, 1969.

Everything about the tractor itself looks like a 4500. It's just the platform and roll cage/canopy look like something custom or modified from another tractor to fit.

The one you plug should be the "non-power-beyond" return line, so it should not be under pressure and anything you can do to plug it to keep the dirt out should be fine. If it were me, I would add quick disconnects to everything and get the plastic caps and plugs for the quick disconnects that are available everywhere because you want to cover the open ends on the three lines on the backhoe that you disconnect the tractor lines from also. Quick Disconnects make things so much easier too.
