Identifying Ford tractor with serial number.

I would appreciate a little help identifying and dating my new to me Ford tractor. The numbers look like:
641
6465
Although the 6 before the 41 on the first line could be a "b".
Any help is appreciated.

601 series with 4 speed transmission. Per service bulletin supplement number 23 dated July 1992, X01 series started with serial 1001, 1958 production started at serial 11977, so your tractor is a 1957 production.

Keep in mind that the production year can vary from the model year. In this case the model year is 1958 as the 601 series began with model year 1958 although production started in 1957. The model year is the one used when looking for parts. Below is a page from the Ford 4 Cylinder Tractor 1953/64 Parts List. Note that Model 601 tractors have a year range of 1958 - 1962.

Thank you very much. I think I'm starting to understand the decoding of the model and serial numbers.

The first set of numbers, "641", is the model number.
The 6 means it is a four wheel utility type with adjustable front axle and has the 134ci gas engine.
The 4 means it has a four speed transmission.
The 1 means it is the "01" series which was produced from 1957 to 1962.

The second set of numbers, "6564", is the serial number.
1001 was the first serial number in 1957 and 11996 was the first in 1958.My tractors serial number 6564, falls between those two numbers so it was made in the 1957 production year. Correct? Or at least close to it?!?!
Once I am sure of the model and year I can start to address a few issues that came with it. I will be able to order parts with confidence. Again, thanks. RCA.
