Stumbled across this in IN Fastline today. Looks good from the photo. It's in IN and priced at $3,500.

Thought someone might be interested.

Website is wakarusaag.com and tele is 574-862-1163.

Might be able to find the ad on fastline.com (IN edition 8, page 6).

Not mine and not associated.

Have you ever put a one arm loader on a 900 tractor? I know where one is for sale but I don't know how difficult it is to attach.

I have not but I do not believe that there is much too it if one has something to lift with and/or help.

It's easier to get into with the narrow front than anything with wide. I get the front locked in and then swing the bucket over to hook the back using a big 6' pry bar.

What would be a decent price for one? Buddy said make offer, uggggggggggghgh. I don't want to hurt his feelings.

From a couple of hundred to maybe $400 tops. I have four, one with hydraulic bucket and never paid over $350, with bracket some with the kick stand. Materiel buckets are probably better for general purpose but I like the manure bracket for moving log and cutting wood.

Grandpa Love,

I don't have a 900 tractor, but I do have a one-arm loader on my old style diesel 4000 (1963?) I have a wide front end with no power steering. I find that it is difficult to attach or detach the loader since the idea is to "drive into the loader" and jockey the tractor back and forth to get it located near the attaching points on the loader.

I "drive into it" and jockey a couple of times to get the big protrusion on the front of the support structure into the hole in the front bracket that is attached to the front of the engine. I then use a floor jack under the big support structure to then push the loader over to the tractor to make the actual connections to the tractor.

In addition to a hydraulic hose, you need three things to attach the loader to the tractor. A front support that bolts onto the front of the engine, a middle support that bolts onto the tractor under the transmission housing, and a bracket that bolts onto the side of the engine right about where the starter is located.

Because I don't have power steering on my wide front end, I find it to be somewhat difficult to get the tractor lined up where it needs to be relative to the loader. I'm a weak, slow, old man. It takes me about 1/2 hour to mount the loader and about 20 minutes to dismount it.

Good luck with whatever decision you make. I think I paid something in the neighborhood of $300 or $400 for mine, but I'm not really sure about that.

Nice looking Fords you got there Kirk, I have never seen a one arm loader anywhere in my neck of the woods, only on the internet, here, or magazines.

Pitting on the piston, will probably need a new hose. Make sure you get all the brackets. Less brackets = less money. If it's a short box than the offset trans hip bracket will be very hard to find if missing. Check the forward mounting bracket for cracks where the four holes to mount are. Sure it can be welded but it's time and money. Check hole where the loader mounts to make sure they are not all waddled out. You will also need a valve or diverter to run it. Also if the hole for the mounting box isn't cover you will probably have a nest of wrens living in it. If your is a manure bucket with bottom plate then if you need is for a materiel bucket then you can always add sides to it like what was done on the one on my 950. You will also need some kind of counter balance ie wheel weight, loaded tires or something hanging of the 3pt.

My 711 came on my 1960 601. Lots of oil leaking out of the lift cylinder. Finally took it off and found new replacements aren't available. They could fabricate a replacement for big bucks. I opted for a rebuild for about $200. It doesn't leak so far. I have power steering so it makes it easier. No foot on mine to hold it up when off tractor. I had one made up. Front wheels on mine are not equally positioned, so it makes harder to get things lined up. I had mine on gravel which made hard to position for reattaching. Kirk must be a wiz getting his on and off so quick. The ntractor web site has info in the manual section on the one arm loaders. Mine has power tilt also. These loaders don't have down pressure so it limits there usage a bit. The soundguy from Florida had a few of these also. I wouldn't spend to much on it like Kirk stated.
