The hole that the bushing goes into on the front of the Drivers Seat Base Assembly is elongated. Somehow the seat suspension shaft assembly wore through the bushing and into the metal on the the driver
's Seat Base Assembly. It is sheet metal. Does anyone have a way to support the bushing in Drivers Seat Base Assembly ? How is the out of round hole repaired ?
Thank you for your help

Destroked,

He's the same guy who was asking about Rest-O-Ride seat parts in another thread, so I assume that's what he's asking about here as well.

I am very sorry that I left out the information about the seat.
It is a Ford Rest-o-Ride Seat. I believe it came off a 600 hundred series tractor.
Once again I apologize for leaving the information out.Thank you for any suggestions that might help me.

Hi Farmerhr, My rest-o-ride was the same way. The sheet metal is rolled to take the bushing. One way to repair it is by closing the hole so that the bushing will fit snugly. Pretty stiff steel so you may have to heat it some. You want to be careful so as to not take the temper out. A little JB Weld around the outside of the bushing may help secure it in the hole. Hope this helps
