19-427 Loader on a 3400?

Will a 19-427 fit my 75 3400? I've looked up and it seems that it is a 730 but what Ive found shows a 19-425 and 426 fitting a 3400. Its not the best picture but I think it says 427.

And what do these things typically sell for? Guy says it worked when he took it off (of course) and it comes with the pump/mounting plate. Said the engine went bad on the 3000 and thats why he took it off.

According to the parts site, the 19-425, 19-426 and 19-427 all used the same frame, so it should bolt right up to your 3400. The only difference I could find on a quick look through the parts drawings was that the 19-427 used single action lift cylinders, so it is power up and gravity down. I can't tell from your pictures whether there's only one hose going to each lift cylinder or two. If there's two then it may have been modified to have power down as well. If not, then it might not dig in as well as one with power down capabilities, but other than that it should be the same.

Be sure that you get all of the parts for the pump drive including the coupler that bolts to the crankshaft pulley.

I bought a 730 loader this spring for my 3400. I paid $1000 complete with pump. The tractor has a 730 loader on it however, this loader has a better bucket etc.

Don't see the splined hub that bolts to the crank pulley, that's what drives the pump.

Isnt that splined shaft in the last picture I posted go back in the crank and drives the pump?

Im going to look at it/pick it up on saturday so we'll see.

No idea how I'm going to get this thing off the trailer and on the tractor...

The splined shaft drives the pump, but what drives the shaft? There is what I called a coupler and what Destroked calls a hub, that bolts to the crankshaft pulley on the front of the engine, that has a hole in the middle with splines on the inside of the hole that mate to the splines on the outside of the shaft. Since yours is a 3400, that splined hub might already be there on your tractor since it most likely had a loader on it at some point in the past, but it might have been removed when a previous owner removed the loader. If your tractor has it already then you're good. If not, then you need to get one, hopefully the seller still has the donor tractor so you can get it from that, otherwise you can buy one from this site, but make sure that you count the splines on the shaft before you order a hub, as there were at least a couple of different spline counts made at different times.

Hmm, interesting. Ill have to go look at my tractor. It has a hole in the front of it and I assumed it was splined back in there and the shaft just went back in there.

The issue here is Ive never seen any of this stuff. Be in on the internet or in person. The guy still has the tractor.

Thats a good loader. When you try to put it on the tractor the lift arms still move up and down affecting balance. I lifted the arms up and put a 4x6 under the front arm crossmember to the frontend cage so the arms dont move. You need a good strong tree limb with a chainhoist. You have to balance it right to clear your steering and go under the axles. Its a tight fit around the hood area on an 800. You need someone to help guide it. I would put a pump seal in first thing and check the filter assembly attache3d to bottom left upright. If the filter is paper it may have come apart and youll have to pull out what you can by hand. The reusable filter is a porous composite, I've never seen one fail. If its only oneway cylinders you can change them later. You may have to change the valve also. If you do its good to have a float on the lift cylinders.

I looked back at your pic, I think you have float with a single acting cylinder. Down pressure is good sometimes but you may not need it.

Thanks for all of the advice! We went and picked it up today. According to the manual it has a material bucket on it... So Ill be looking for a standard bucket I guess. Can those be bought anywhere?

Its going to need a good paint job and all new hydraulic hoses... Thanksfully I got it for $750 so Ill prob have $1,000 in it after the paint and new hoses. Got a lot of work to do.

Unfortunately we dont have any strong tree branches...

Ill post pics later.
