I believe it is a ford 4000 industrial loader/backhoe:
Numbers I found on the transmission bell housing behind the starter are:

45021G (4=4000, 50=Industrial, 2=gas, 1=no pto, G=?)
C166016 (C=built in USA 166016=serial#)
7I3I4 (these numbers im not sure about)

Loader numbers are:
Component I9-450
Serial 4573

Backhoe numbers are:
series 753
Component I9-390
Serial 3545

Cab numbers are:
Custom Products
Serial IRBC 128-Ford 4500 L&BH

I have pictures but of course I can't post right now.

I would like to find out what year, if in fact it is a 4000, and the weight?

Thanks for help

would be a 4500 with 750 (13')series backhoe and bucket, built sept 31, 1967...
Around 7500 lbs give or take based on the cab weight.

http://www.tractordata.com/industrial-tractors/000/1/1/118-ford-4500-dimensions.html

45021G
4 = 4000 series
50 = 4500 series industrial
2 = gas engine
1 = no pto
G = 4x4 manual reversing transmission

C166016 is the serial number for a 67 model tractor

7I3I4, this is the production date but it's not correct
7 = 1967
I = ?, A letter is used here for the month built but Ford did not use the letter "I" as it looks to much like the number "1"
3I = again "I" is not used so probably 31 for the day of the month
4 = ? there should be the letter A, B, or C here indicating what work shift the tractor was built.

Looks like you have a 4500 ind loader backhoe built in 1967.

Look at the production date codes again, maybe we can figure out what month and time of day it was built.
That "I" is most likely a B, D, E, F, H, K or L, since the date appears to be the 31st that would narrow it down to D, F, H or K

Loader numbers are:
Component I9-450
Serial 4573
Thanks for help
That's a 1 not an I but I think someone said they stamped I's when it should have been 1's.
Anyway, That's a Ford 740 loader. Component #(19-450).

They did that on my loader too. Stamped the component # but not the Model #.

I'm trying to post some pictures of the tractor but having an issue. Thanks for the information on the tractor.

sotxbill, you said it is about 7500 lbs, is that with bakhoe and loader.

The cab is a custom products of litchfield, INC in mn. It has two doors in the back so you can access the backhoe controls.

Destroked 450, I was trying to put a picture of the numbers but having trouble.

Alright, now we have it. Yes I had my wife come in and save me. This is the picture I was trying to post. You can see from both these pictures that this is all the numbers and letters I can read off the tractor. I have tags on loader and backhoe and cab also.
I was also wondering if anyone has taken off the backhoe for transporting the loader and backhoe separate? I'm limited in my weight on trailer and location so I can bring her home.

Looks like they tried to use the 1 & 3 to make a B, so it could be 7B14 which would be February 14, 1977.

The serial number is pretty close to that date. The 1977 serial numbers went from C161300 through C190199, so C166016 would be about 2 tenths of the way through the year. which would be a little under 2.5 months.

dont your mean 1967 ???? c161300 was the starting serial number for 1967 and ended with c190199..

Dang and here I thought I had a tractor that was younger then I was. :lol: I thank you guys again on all the information.
So now we have the information.

1967 ford industrial 4500.
750 series 13' backhoe.
740 series loader.
7500lbs give or take for the weight plus what the cab weight is.

Has anyone seen a cab like that. Two doors in the back to get into the backhoe controls.

The original owner says it's weight is about 10,000 pounds. It will make a differance on what trailer I use when I go get it.

I don't think that cab would weigh much more than 500 lbs. or maybe 750 tops. Your pictures don't tell us whether there is additional weight like wheel weights or liquid ballast in the tires though, so I would take the largest rated trailer you have available just to be safe. If it truly does weigh around 10,000 lbs. then you'll want a truck and trailer rated to tow at least 12,000 lbs. plus the weight of the empty trailer. Towing something that is right at at the maximum rating of your towing equipment is a recipe for disaster.

Thanks for the input. That make sense about using a bigger trailer, "better to have it and not need it, then to need it and not have it".
Thanks again for all the input.
