Ford 8000 Remote Hydraulic Leak Off

The remotes leak off on my Ford 8000 when I have implements attached, both remotes leak the same. I?ve looked in the manual and can?t find any information concerning that problem in the hydraulic section or in the troubleshooting section.

It?s a 1972 model with the dual power, if that makes a difference.

I'm assuming you are referring to a problem of leak down here, where an implement settles with no indication of any kind of external leak? If so, I'd start by isolating the implement to make sure you don't have any bad cylinders. Simply raise the implement and yank the hoses out of the couplers. Does it still leak down? If so, your problem is in the cylinder(s).

If it holds, you might try reversing the lines in the couplers (thereby changing the direction of flow) and see if that brings any relief. I don't believe those control valves use any kind of a line lock, so if you need a resolution, some sort of an external line lock would likely be in order.
