hydraulic suction line repair ford 3000

I saw some info on JB weld would that stuff work on filling a weeping hole in the line or would braising be a better way to go.
 
They are saying it doesn't work on carburetors because the gas breaks it down, so I don't know what hydraulic fluid would do to it. Just a thought though, what about that new flex seal tape that's out on the market now?

aybe OK on suction, but not likely on pressure. Hold up to hydraulic oil, I expect so, since it has held up on my 560 gallon gas tank for over 20 years.
 
I would braze it.
I think JB Weld is great for gluing little magnets to cute plastic cat faces so you can stick them on your refrigerator.
I Don't use the stuff around equipment or my tractors.
